GopherCon
July 24th- July 27th, 2019
Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, California
Held annually in Denver, Colorado, 2018 marked the five-year anniversary of GopherCon, the original Go conference. The organizers welcomed over 1,600 attendees for some of the very best programming and networking in the Go community. Now, with a well-oiled format in place, GopherCon is hitting the road! The Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is the official venue, offering both rooming and programming under one roof; it is our hope that this venue will help maintain the tight sense of community attendees have come to expect. With exceptional pre-conference workshops taught by a few of the smartest people we know, some of the very best programming driven by our conference attendees' feedback, hours and hours of networking, and a sunny beach destination, we can't think of a single reason you wouldn't want to hit the road with us!

What Every Gopher Needs to Know!
Call for Papers
GopherCon's Call for Papers opened at the beginning of January and closed January 31st. We're excited to share that we received over 200 submissions! The review committee is actively reviewing submissions and we anticipate informing selected speakers by the first week of March.
Community Day, the final day of GopherCon, offers a slew of community focused workshops, hands-on activities, roundtable discussions and our ever-popular Lightning Talks. These short 5 - 7 minute talks drew in an audience of over 600 in 2018! The Call for Papers for Lightning Talks will open Monday, March 4th, so stay tuned!
Pre-Conference Workshop Tickets are for Wednesday, July 24th only
Each Pre-Conference Workshop on Wednesday, July 24th runs the entire day (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), so you should only purchase one workshop ticket. A Pre-Conference Workshop ticket is only valid Wednesday, July 24th and does not include access to the full conference, Thursday, July 25th - Saturday, July 27th. If you wish to attend the full conference, please purchase a General Admission ticket in addition to your Pre-Conference Workshop ticket. Eight workshops will be offered and will be posted as they are confirmed.
Which Ticket Should You Choose?
If you are paying your own way to GopherCon, please choose "General Admission - Self Paid". If your company is paying for your ticket, please choose "General Admission - Corporate". We are trusting our Go community members to choose honestly.
Student and Non-Profit Tickets
If you fall into one of these categories, we offer conference tickets for $525 and workshop tickets for $375. If interested, please email us proof of your status (i.e. student ID card or non-profit business card) and we will send you a promo code. Please be prepared to purchase your ticket(s); each promo link will have a five-day use period, and we will not generate a second code if it is not used.
